3, 3i & 3ib Washed coarse aggregate produced from the highest quality Ordovician Dolomitic Limestone.
Product Info ↓CONCRETE STONE (3, 3i & 3ib) is a washed coarse aggregate produced from the highest quality Ordovician Dolomitic Limestone. It is manufactured to specified physical properties and sizes. Because the material is washed, it contains minimal fines and reduced deleterious materials. Pattison Concrete Stone reduces the amount of costly additives required to produce concrete. It extends the life expectancy of roads, reduces cracks, freeze/thaw impacts and maintenance costs.
If you use our rock there is a good chance you can use less cement and have same break tests.
Also known as washed base material, washed rocks, washed stone, D467, D57, D67. Pattison produces Concrete Stone from Ordovician Dolomitic Limestone in our state-of-the-art, jaw/cone crushing plant. Our plant features sophisticated compression crushing technology that reduces fines and increases fractured faces.
This material is frequently ordered with specific physical properties. Pattison’s quarry offers a variety of ledges that meet these requirements. Material sourced from these ledges is durable, has minimal deleterious materials and performs above requirements on freeze thaw, abrasion, specific gravity and absorption tests.
This product meets Iowa’s highest usage designations as Class 3i and 3iB. It can be used in interstate highway paving, bridge decks and overlays. Pattison’s Concrete Stone is approved for FAA airport paving and other federal projects. It is certified for Department of Transportation work in Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
With our direct to rail transfer system, Concrete Stone products move quickly from production to rail loading with minimal handling, dramatically reducing product degradation, and material handling costs.
