Product Description

Produced from high quality Ordovician Dolomitic Limestone. This rock generally last 2 to 4 times longer than native rock where our Trans loads are located.

We have developed this special blend of rock that has less fines in it for those locations that have plenty of fines in the road bed.

Road Rock

ROAD ROCK is also known as road rock, road stone, base stone,  class A road stone, class A road rock, shoulder stone, surfacing stone, modified subbase, and granular subbase. Pattison produces ROAD ROCK in our state-of-the-art, jaw/cone crushing plant.  Our crushing plant features compression crushing technology that limits fines generation and increase fractured faces.

Road Rock Quality

We understand that source quality makes a significant difference in the longevity of aggregates. Our facility in Clayton, Iowa features 9 ledges that include ordovician dolomitic limestone, limestone and sandstone. Pattison ROAD ROCK has been used in several projects conducted by Iowa State University. It has been designated as “high strength” stone and has demonstrated a longevity that exceeds most other quarry Road Rock.

Pattison Road Rock Value

Qualitative testing has established that Pattison’s high strength ROAD ROCK saves substantial time and materials for end users. With our direct to rail transfer system, Road Rock products move quickly from production to rail cars with minimal handling. This reduces product degradation and lowers load out costs.
